• What Is Fostering?
Fostering for most people means caring for a child or children in you own home, when the children are not able to be cared for by their own family. Foster placements vary in length, some placements can be short or some may last a few months or perhaps several years. The aim of fostering is to help a child or a young person though a difficult part of their life providing stability and care in a family home environment. The type of care that suits each child best will vary according to the individual needs of the child - the priority is to provide a good quality of care but tailored individually to the needs of the child.
